Bimbos and Bratz

 

Now that I’m working with elemental school girls, I’m immersed in advised girl culture, where tamogochis accept been replaced by Miss Bimbo and Barbie looks bracing next to Bratz.

            For those out of mid school, Miss Bimbo is an online daring where players create an avatar and contend to be the “reigning bimbo.”  According to the plat, some of the goals of the game are:

Blow the whistle on buy for the latest fashions and become the most trendsetting bimbo in hamlet! Become a socialite and skyrocket to the top of name and popularity! Date that distinguished hottie you’ve had your eye on and show the Bimbo incredible the social starlet you are! Even alternative to meds or plastic surgery. A halt at nothing to become the reigning bimbo!

 

Bimbos yield happiness points for eating too much chocolate, and try to get a lavish-paying job so they can afford boob jobs.  It’s like creating credentials dolls out of US Weekly or a videogame out of TMZ.  And the ready is marketed to girls as young as 1st descent.

 

      The game was created by 2 guys in England, who father responded to the predictable criticism by saying the courageous “mirrors real ?lan in a tongue-in-cheek way.”  The locality has responded to the backlash by posting a counsel on the front page, and proudly proclaiming the know-how to purchase diet pills with the nervy has been dismantled.

      Yay.

      In the girls’ nursery school where I’m working,  some coloring sheets of Bratz dolls flashing enticing in black and white were confiscated from the lunch stay this week. Bratz are scantily clad dolls, with surprising alien-anorexic bodies and “a passion for manufacture.” These dolls were designed for girls grey 4-8, and have been criticized for promoting a “sexualized replica of girls.”  They now push more than Barbie.
